In the cold and snow - Chantal February 2005
What can we do in the cold and snow that have lasted for several weeks?
The only solution is: don't let yourself down and keep your spirits high. Spring and sunshine will come soon, and if you don’t want to be in trouble next time we train together - that's on March 20th - keep fit. Therefore keep on running at least twice a week but it is unnecessary to train for more than 30min. Wear appropriate clothes and outfit: gloves, warm socks, warm jacket, balaclava, thermal underwear.
Don't forget stretching when you're back home.
If the cold is a real problem for you, do some brisk walking, wearing warm clothes: you'll be warm soon. And we practically we always find somebody along the way, to walk with for some time.
And for those who can neither run nor walk - I don't envy them at all! - they can go to the cinema and watch "Meet the Parents" a very nice and enthusiastic film, with Dustin Hofman, Barbara Streisand and Robert De Niro...

This year, in Annecy, it is very much welcome after the long period of snow we have had since Christmas Day. Something like putting on new clothes or redecorating the lounge.
Runners are changing clothes too, and running routes as well.
April 10th - JM April 11th
The Annecy 10K, the Balcon de Belledonne near Grenoble took place on April 10th . This year, runners and organizers had to make do with wintry or almost wintry conditions (icy winds). Even snow at Balcon de Belledonne. It is not unusual: we often have snow-clad tulips in our parts. The London Marathon is on April 17th and Annecy Marathon will be in September this year.
